Folklore Ensemble «Crna Gora»

The Republic of Montenegro is a magical land of mountains, lakes and sea. Montenegro is one of the most beautiful countries of the Mediterranean, located in the western part of the Balkan Peninsula. This mountainous country is considered one of the most beautiful and environmentally friendly countries in Europe.

Most of the territory of this picturesque country is under UNESCO protection. On its territory are located the national parks of Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, Lovćen, Prokletije and other nature reserves. It is a magnificent country with many attractions. There are several thousand archaeological and historical-architectural monuments. Among them, the most famous – the Cetinje monastery, the Ostrog monastery, the citadel Fortress and many others.

Montenegro is a country with a rich and ancient culture, which formation was greatly influenced by the cultural traditions of the West and the East, being developed over many centuries. At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada all the richness and uniqueness of Montenegrin culture will be presented by the Folklore Ensemble «Crna Gora».

The folklore ensemble was founded in 2000. With their performances, the team seeks to preserve, save from oblivion and promote the folk dances, songs and musical heritage of Montenegro. The Folklore Ensemble «Crna Gora» is a participant of many international folklore festivals in the UAE, Spain, France, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey.
