Mystkowianie Folk Group

Poland is a country, situated in the very heart of Europe. It borders with Germany in the west, Czech Republic and Slovakia in the south, Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus in the east and Russia in the north-east. Poland has an abundance of natural wonders, such as fluffy pine trees, national parks, the Baltic Sea resorts, its sea-breeze, sand dunes and mysterious medieval castles, large historical monuments and cities.

The Old City of Warsaw, restored in the postwar years is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the former capital of the country Krakow is itself a living monument of the Middle-Age architecture. The both cities are biggest centers of historical tourism in Europe.

At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada this country will be represented by the Mystkowianie folklore association established in 1984 in the Myskow village in the south of Poland. This group has a rich repertoir. which includes traditional songs and dances of different Polish ethnic groups with an abundance of musical instruments. The group will present unique Polish culture, which is a beautiful fusion of many European traditions.
