Folk Dance Group «Venzelya»

The Russian Federation is a country of 11 time zones. The territory of Russia is extensive, its shores are washed by 12 seas and three oceans: the Arctic, Atlantic and Pacific. Stretching from the Baltic to the Pacific Ocean, it has incorporated many natural areas – from the Arctic deserts to the subtropics, which determined the variety of magnificent natural landscapes.

The nature of Russia is incredibly multifaceted, and its more than a thousand-year history has left a lot of amazing natural, historical and architectural monuments. Here are located the deepest lake on Earth-Lake Baikal and the highest mountain in Europe–Elbrus, the largest forest in the world – the Siberian taiga and a unique natural object that divides Eurasia into two continents – the Ural Mountains.

Russia is a multinational country, and its culture is rich and diverse. At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada representing of the cultural traditions of the Russian Federation is trusted to the honored collective of folk art choreographic ensemble (the city of Penza) “Venzelya”.

The group is the winner of many all-Russian and international folklore festivals, including in Italy, Greece, Germany, India, Canada, France, South Africa, and other countries.
