Folk Association «Karagouna»
Greece is one of the most amazing and unique in its beauty countries in the world. It is located
on the Balkan Peninsula at the junction of three continents: Asia, Africa and Europe. This
amazing country is washed by 7 seas of the Mediterranean basin with many islands, large and
small, picturesque and original. This state has a unique nature and a truly impressive
archaeological heritage.
Golden beaches, azure sea, ruins of ancient temples and amazing monuments of architecture
and history - all this is Greece. Here each town has its own beautiful legend, and modernity is
closely intertwined with the past.
Greek culture is considered one of the oldest in the world. At the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada
the rich historical folklore of this country, a significant part of which dates back to ancient
times, will be demonstrated by the team of the «Karagouna» Folk Association.
The «Karagouna» carefully preserves and develops the traditions and culture of past
generations and through its performances gives everyone the opportunity to touch its unique
beauty.
