The Dance and Song ensemble of National Guard of Kazakhstan, one of the leading creative groups in the region, is presenting the culture of Kazakhstan at the VI CIOFF® World Folkloriada. The ensemble was formed by the Order of the Commander of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in April 1992.
Throughout the years, the Ensemble had been headed by Senior Lieutenant Grigory Podgainy, Major Alexander Kashavets; from 1994 to 2016, for more than 22 years the team was headed by the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel Shamuratov Rakhmetzhan. Since December 2016 Major Darkhan Rakhimgaliyev, a graduate of the Moscow Military Conducting Faculty, has been the head of the Ensemble.
Dance and Song ensemble of National Guard consists of a pop orchestra, a male choir, dance and folk groups, soloists and an administrative and technical group.
The repertoire of the Ensemble is diverse: military song and folk music, pop and modern youth styles, songs and dances of the peoples of the world.
The song and dance ensemble has more than 90 artists. All artists have a professional musical and choreographic education, experience working in philharmonic halls, orchestras, vocal and dance studios.
