Fountain «Seven Girls»

The fountain "Seven Girls" is located in the theater square near the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater. It is worth noting that this is one of the youngest and most beautiful sights of the city of Ufa.

The creator of this unique fountain and its sculptural group was the Honored sculptor of Bashkortostan — Hanif Khabibrakhmanov.

The creation of this magnificent piece of art was inspired by one of the Bashkir legends "Ete Kyz" (Bashkir. seven maidens). It tells the story of seven Bashkir girls who were alike like two peas. All of them jumped into the lake Kultuban from the highest cliff, so as not to become prisoners of the enemies who invaded their soil. The figures of the girls are cast in bronze and ring the fountain bowl, they are the key elements of the fountain composition.

Every evening, when the night falls over the city, artificial lights are lit around the fountain as well as the music turns on. It feels like the girls are dancing right in the water. The sound of the water complements the feeling of beauty and grace.
